ARS MUSICA presents Russian Language Workshop and Performance, Saturday, September 15, 2:00-4:00PM at Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ

Ars Musica presents Irina Petrik, Russian coach and operatic soprano in a Russian Language Workshop, which will focus on the liturgical Russian used in Rachmaninoff's "Vespers (All-Night Vigil)."  Accompanied by Ars Musica's new choral conductor, Kelly Crandell, together they will perform three Rachmaninoff art songs, his Vocalise, and excerpts from the Vespers.  This workshop is offered for any participant, who would like to join Ars Musica and gain some insight into the Russian language for singing, and the music of Rachmaninoff. 
There is a suggested donation of $5.00.
Ars Musica will be performing Rachmaninoff's "Vespers (All-Night Vigil)," which is the chorale's first concert of the 2012-2013 season, on Saturday, November 17th.
