Two-Part Carols A Cappella

I'm going to be taking a select number of my elementary students caroling in the area, and I'm looking for some good two part a cappella arrangments of Christmas carols. These can be  in English or in foreign languages; my singers are strong enough to be able to handle pretty much whatever they're challenged with.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good songbook, or a good online resource?

Thank you in advance!

Hi David - I don't know of a two-part carol songbook, but I'd happily do this for a small fee per carol, as I'd be able to use the arrangements elsewhere. Let me know what you'd expect to pay for a songbook and how many carols, and I can probably work within your budget and give you exactly the carols that you want. Do you want two-part with one part TB and one SA, S and A, or SA and TB? If elementary means under-12, I'm guessing S and A, and I have one or two arrangements for that already. Email me for details.

Hello David,
You might check out  David Newell's  "Classic Christmas Carols for Band."   Here is a link to the vocal books.  There is an SA book.  There is so much flexibility with these books if you want to mix with an instrument or more.  They also work well with voices alone.   However, the harmonies are a little more challenging than the typical harmonizations that you hear.
Good luck

Hi there David,

This is an SSA book but I am sure you could adapt these to fit your group. It is called "Joy! A Carol Collection. 20 A Cappella Christmas Favourites" Arr. by Jay Althouse. These arrangements are simple enough to learn quickly and interesting enough for the listener to be delighted and the chorister to be satisfied. I have gotten A LOT of use out of this over the past few years with my children's choirs.
Happy Fa-la-la-la-la- ing!
