The ten-year-old, pictured, was promoted in an ancient ceremony which took place in the cathedral, following on from a year when he was a probationer with the choir.  Jason, who until last year attended Fynamore School in Calne, was awarded a place in the choir and a scholarship to attend the Salisbury Cathedral School following a rigorous audition process.
