Suggestions for a pre-concert meal?

Our ensemble is having a "double concert" day - one performance at 3 and the other at 7 pm. We'll have about 90 minutes to rest and "refuel" and will bring in a catered meal. What suggestions do you have for power food for the singers? We'll also be having a children's chorus, so we need something for them as well.

Hi Lori,
We have had happy choristers of all ages when we have fed them sandwiches (which they make themselves) and salad. We lay out a spread of wraps (not as bloating as bread), ham and turkey sandwhich meat, grilled vegetables (peppers, zucchini, portobello mushorooms), baby spinach, tabouli, and a couple of condiments (mustard, mayo). We also put out hummus and pita, quinoa salad and some grape tomatoes, carrot sticks, celery sticks and a tray of fresh fruit. Beverages are water and juice. We leave any dessert type treats or cheeses until a reception after the concert. The vegetables and proteins in all of this satsify the singers in terms of energy and ejoyment and if you have volunteers do the shopping ahead of time, it is very cost effective! When we travel, we find it is easy to take this sort of food in a cooler and we can quickly and easily feed ourselves in a healthy, satifying, inexpensive way.
