By S. Indra Sathiabalan KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA -- THE Canticle Singers (TCS) has been around in the local performing arts scene for the last 20 years and is still making its presence felt. And it looks like its members are not planning to slow down any time soon.This year, the group celebrates its 20th anniversary with a musical production called Ovation, to be staged in Kuala Lumpur. The show will highlight a combination of 22 songs from a diverse selection of composers such as Alan Menken, Claude-Michel Schönberg, Christopher Tin, Elton John, Ennio Morricone, Freddy Mercury, George & Ira Gershwin, Goldrich and Heisler and Stephen Sondheim. TCS is a community choral group that was established in 1992. The group consists of members from all walks of life, between the ages of 22 and 56. ![]() |
