Location: New York, USA
Choir type: School Choirs
Voicing: Mixed
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Edith Copley, Director of Choral Activities at Northern Arizona University and ACDA's 2013 National High School Mixed Honor Choir conductor, will be guest conducting on our Octavo Series at Carnegie Hall May 16-19, 2013. A select festival chorus of qualified high school ensembles from across the country will rehearse each day and perform a variety of shorter works selected by Dr. Copley who is mindful of choosing exciting repertoire that can be prepared and presented at home prior to your arrival in New York.

As you know, Carnegie Hall is one of the most famous concert venues in the world. We hope that your students can experience this legendary hall with us this year. In addition to rehearsals and performance, our concert residency is designed to enjoy the exciting sights and sounds of Manhattan, enjoy a Broadway show, and experience the city by night on a post-concert reception cruise.  Housing will be provided at the Crowne Plaza Times Square.

For information on this performance opportunity, please feel free to call or send an email with interest. Should these residency dates not coincide with your academic calendar, or for information beyond 2013, we encourage you to visit our web site for a fuller picture of MCP offerings throughout the United States and abroad:  http://mcp.us/public/performances/calendarevents/index.aspx

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
