Mums the word in new choirDate: September 27, 2012

SOUTHSEA, UK -- WHEN you’re a new mum it can be hard to get out and enjoy some ‘me time’. But Rebecca Robertson has set up a choir in a bid to solve that problem.
Rebecca, who worked as a music teacher for 10 years, said she had always wanted to sing in a group. But it was only when she had her first baby 11 months ago, that the 29-year-old came up with the idea to do something about it. Rebecca, of Lennox Road North, Southsea, said: ‘After I had a baby I was teaching singing at home but I wanted an opportunity to get out of the house for a while. ‘I thought other women in a similar position might also like to have somewhere they can go and leave their responsibilities at home. It can be quite full on being a new mum so this is a chance to de-stress and get a couple of hours off.’ |
