RED OAK, TX -- WFAA’s Good Morning Texas crew and sponsors from City Credit Union surprised Red Oak High School Choir Teacher Mechelle Foster during her second

period class on September 25 with the announcement that she has been selected as the Teacher of the Month for a new segment. Mrs. Foster’s student Xavier Simpson nominated her for the honor earlier this month through the WFAA Good Morning Texas website. 

In his nomination Xavier wrote, “Mrs. Foster is such an inspiration to all of her students. She has taught us to work when it is time to work, and play when it’s time to play. And to leave a legacy, you have to live one every day.”
