Chicago Chamber Choir presents "Bewitched: More Music for the Dead of Night"

Location: Illinois, USA
Choir type: Community Choirs
Voicing: Mixed
  • Saturday, Oct. 20, 7:30pm, at Anderson Chapel, Norh Park University, corner of Foster and Kedzie, Chicago
  • Sunday, Oct. 21, 7:00pm, at Unity Lutheran Church, 1212 W. Balmoral, Chicago
  • Sunday, Oct. 28, 7:00pm, at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church, 815 Wilmot Road, Deerfield
By popular demand, CCC resurrects the ghostly sounds and macabre sights of Halloween this weekend and next. A near reprise of last fall's packed concerts, the choir will perform the eeriest classical music of J.S. Bach, Einojuhani Rautavaara, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Eric Whitacre, and more on the first half. The theatrical second half of the program will include selections from Sweeney Todd, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Verdi's Macbeth, Little Shop of Horrors, and more. The singers of CCC will be in ghastly attire and the audience is encouraged to attend in costume, too.
