Trinity Choir and Baroque Orchestra Present Messiah at Trinity Wall Street and at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall
Date: November 15, 2012
Location: New York, USA
The New York Times has given Trinity Wall Street's annual performances of Handel's Messiah high acclaim. Trinity, "largely on the strength of its extraordinary choir, pierced the heart," said last season’s review, which added that while other groups present Messiah as "a comfortable holiday tradition, Trinity put on something closer to a sacred rite." In what has become one of their most popular annual performances, as well as a New York holiday tradition, Trinity’s combined choral and orchestral forces provide an intimate, joyous take on one of the best-known and most widely performed works in the musical literature. This season’s Messiah performances will take place at Trinity Church on December 9 and at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on December 12.
