For a program note on the Parker/Shaw arrangement of this carol, I want to present more information than what's obvious from the score--traditional Italian carol, English version by Shaw, arr. Parker/ Shaw for 1953 RCA Victor recording. Has anyone discovered additional information about the original Italian sources for the text and the music? My researches to date have not been productive.  I've even searched copyright registration information. And, of course, I'm on deadline this week. thanks.
