The committee will review applications (individuals or groups) in January and February and will schedule interviews for the finalists in March. The recipient or recipients will be expected to give a recital at the church on Sunday, May 5th, 2013. The award or awards will be made to those individuals who, in addition to being talented musicians, share the goals and attitudes of David Leibig.
David Leibig (1935-1992) graduated from West Chester University with a degree in music and he received his Master’s Degree from Temple University.  He served as organist and minister of music for 28 years at Reformation Lutheran Church.  He served as a music educator and principal in the Rose Tree Media School District from which he retired in 1989.
The grant fund has been established to pay tribute to a wonderful man, a talented musician and an inspirational church leader.  The grant fund has been created and sustained by friends, family, and members of the community.
