The Kinnara® Ensemble will present a one hour concert entitled “ the Singing” on Saturday, January 12 at 8:00 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, Princeton and January 13th at 3:00 PM in St John’s Lutheran Church in Summit. Artistic Director J.D. Burnett notes “Many composers have written pieces that deal with beauty and potentiality in music. The concert will feature works that explore the beauty of music and singing in their texts.” Repertoire will include works by Brahms, Britten and Lassus. An artist reception will follow.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students available at www.KinnaraEnsemble.org and at the door.
Audiences statewide have recognized the Kinnara® Ensemble for their warmth of sound and musical dexterity. Under the artistic direction of J.D. Burnett, the 26 professional artists have performed as the Kinnara® Ensemble throughout the tri- state area and as individuals throughout the world. A member of the multiple Grammy nominated group Conspirare, Mr. Burnett is a teaching fellow at the University of Texas, and Assistant Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Chorus.
Formed in 2008, the ensemble is a non-profit tax exempt organization, dedicated to bringing the finest choral music to NJ and providing new opportunity for the young professional choral singer.
