Small wooden riser/steps

I know I've seen well built small wooden risers/steps that are meant for three people, one on the floor, one on the first step and one on the third step, but I cannot seem to locate a company that makes them.  Purchasing a series of these riser/steps would allow for various configuations in outside concert situations as well as easy portability.  Anyone know who makes something like this?  Thanks, Linda Evans Manuilow

Do you know anyone locally that might be willing to make some for you?  It might be a less expensive way to go. Our church had wooden boxes made for the small choral ensembles. I think we have five or six that can be arranged in various ways, though we usually only use four.

Linda:  My Sweet Adelines chorus used something similar, which had been built by someone's husband as I recall.  But I don't think they had two riser levels, just one, which helps both in construction and transportation.  But the single-level units could fit easily into someone's trunk or the back of a wagon or van.

My university show ensemble used a fairly eleborate set, but it was also designed and built in-house by our Technical Staff, who delighted in putting in lighting effects as well.  And it was designed for 11 couples, with 11 mic stands built in.

But in either case, as soon as you start using regular materials like plywood instead of space-age lightweight materials, you're talking about a significant amount of weight.
