Travel with members and friends of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for a fascinating once-in-a-lifetime experience as we explore the homes, venues and locales known so well by composer Benjamin Britten, and help us celebrate the 100th birthday of this musical giant.
Limited spaces remain for this non-performing tour opportunity.
Tour members will explore the significant musical haunts and Britten connections in London, Aldeburgh, Cambridge and Coventry. Confirmed musical performances we will hear on our trip include a private concert in the London home of G. F. Handel, Evensong at King's College Cambridge, and Peter Grimes in Aldeburgh.
The tour is led by Dr. Michael Sells, Professor Emeritus at Butler University, and Dr. Eric Stark, Artistic Director of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
Tour land package ($2,950) includes 7 nights deluxe accomodations (London, Aldeburgh, Coventry and Bath), 13 meals, motorcoach transport between all tour destinations, guides, tours and admission fees.
Tour begins on June 5, 2013, upon your independent arrival in London, and concludes back in London on the morning of June 12, 2013.
