This festival is for young singers in grades 4 - 8 selected by their school, church, or community choir directors for participation. Join with members of The Bel Canto Children's Chorus for rehearsal on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 - 4:30, with a dress rehearsal from
1:00 - 3:00 and performance at 4:00 on Sunday, April 14 . Great opportunity to become part of a large festival choir at a local venue! Two workshop sessions will also be presented for the directors. Rehearsal recordings will be provided to aid in preparation of your singers.
Bring a few singers or your whole choir! We are looking for motivated singers (boys and girls) with unchanged voices, a focused attitude, a desire to learn, and who LOVE to sing! Directors bringing 5 or more singers will receive complimentary registration.
Lunch for directors on Saturday is included in the registration fee. Cost is $30 per participant, and includes the cost of the music. Directors are welcome to attend without singers as well, so feel free to bring a friend! The festival will be conducted by Joy Hirokawa,
Founder and Artistic Director of The Bel Canto Children's Chorus and Instructor of Music Education at Moravian College.
