"Healing the Broken Hearted" -- Young Artist Choirs Sing in Reply to Violence

This very special concert is performed to offer comfort and solace to the families of children lost to gun violence. Included will be the premier of a Missa Brevis, composed by Lita Grier in one week, as a direct response to the tragic loss of 20 children and 6 teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  A mass choir of about 200 singers, comprised of seven prominent Chicago area choirs, will be conducted by Doreen Rao. 


This concert is being recorded for broadcast by WFMT (98.7 - Chicago) and the WFMT Radio Network.  

It will be heard on WFMT and WFMT.COM at 7:00pm and will be available nationwide at 6:00pm CST.  


The concert is free and open to the public on Sunday, January 13th at 5:00pm.  

Located at St. James Cathedral, 65 East Huron Street, Chicago, IL.
