The mission of the ACDA is to inspire excellence in choral music through education, performance, composition, and advocacy.

What's on Great Sacred Music, Sunday, January 20, 2013

Location: North Carolina, USA
Choir type: Choirs with Religious Affiliation
Remember Alessandro Striggio? He visited London in 1567. His 40 part motet
Ecce beatam lucem supposedly inspired - or challenged - Thomas Tallis to write
his own 40 part motet Spem in Alium.
I have programmed a mini-hymn festival in Hour 1. Abide with Me honors
the memory of the brilliant Canadian choral conductor Diane Loomer who died
last December.
Don't forget that I have programmed a nice mix of choral and instrumental music on
Peaceful Reflections (10-midnight) to bring your weekend to a gentle close. George
Douglas is your genial host.
