Music in a Great Space Concert Series Presents the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir
Music in a Great Space, the concert series at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, presents the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir on Friday, February 1, 2013, at 8:00 p.m.
Founded five years ago as a project of the River City Brass, the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir is a multi-age, multi-ethnic musical ensemble whose concerts are designed to uplift, edify, and entertain audiences through Gospel music and other sacred choral repertoire. Under the direction of Dr. Herbert Jones, the choir will fill the Shadyside Presbyterian Church sanctuary with the stirring sounds of soulful song.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (60 and over). For more information on the Music in a Great Space series, call 412.682.4300, or visit www.shadysidepres.org.
Shadyside Presbyterian Church is centrally located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s university district, just a few blocks away from the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. The church is situated on the corner of Amberson Avenue and Westminster Place, only one block off Fifth Avenue.
