Information Sheets
Read the Emails form the assistant producer
Explain that the audition is the video I am sending Feb 14 and that we will add some stuff to that video at the Feb 14 rehearsal and at the meeting.
Go through the audition topics first. If they still like us after the Minecraft video, we would receive a call back in Mid April. Dates and costs are a question. The assistant producer said they would "Bring us out" for the audition. I think it is likely they would fly the kids out but parents would be on their own to join us or simply allow the staff of Our Musical Life Inc. to take care of the kids. The costs and other details involved would be discussed once we are given the offer of a call back. 50/50 chance.
This choir is more than an auditioning group for America's Got Talent. We are a top performing choir that produces entertainments for various online communities and alternative bands as well as a local audience. Go through the statement of understanding. Target audience is age 15-35, read the document with them. Pass out calendars.
Discuss the importance of supporting and sharing about the choir on line. We depend on electonic word of mouth. Everyone has contacts that may be interested in what the kids are doing. When you see a call to Share please take it seriously and help right away. In order to achieve success we must achieve marketing Buzz. Discus how the Gifford stuff led to contacts that are invaluable, escapist, G4, creative team members, Cloud Cult (view count matters) The role of your own school choir. The more Children's Choir fo teh Internet is connected to other ensembles the better our base of support.
