An unheated room, too little money for food or medicine--no sacrifice is too much for the sake of art. Glorious arias and a tragic love story are reimagined for a contemporary sensibility. Puccini evokes the atmosphere of the fabled Latin Quarter, where these Bohemians lived, loved, laughed, and cried. Enjoy the refined vocal sounds of Ars Musica and the fresh voices of developing young artists and Ars Musica interns in solo roles. These young professionals have astonishing voices and extensive operatic and musical theatre credits: soprano Alexis Rodda as Mimi; tenor Alexander Pikarsky as Rodolfo; soprano Janette Zosche as Musetta; baritone Sean Kroll as Marcello; bass Dusty Francis as Colline; baritone Matthew Walsh as Schaunard; and members of the National Children’s Chorus. Conducted by Maestro Kelly Crandell, Music Director of Ars Musica and directed by Jason Dolmetsch.
Ars Musica Chorale is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, through grant funds administered by the Bergen County Department of Parks, Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
