Mississippi Valley Orchestra, under the baton of Christina Chen-Beyers, presents Songs of Fate on Sunday,
February 10, at 4:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights in collaboration with Chorus Polaris,
conducted by John Hoffacker and Two Rivers Chorale, conducted by Timothy Sawyer.
 
This concert features orchestra and choirs performing together on Shicksalslied and How Lovely is Thy
Dwelling Place by Johannes Brahms, orchestra playing Liszt's Les Preludes and Verdi's Forces of Destiny
overture, Chorus Polaris singing Selig sind die Toten by Heinrich Schütz and Two Rivers Chorale performing
Pilgrim’s Hymn by Stephen Paulus.
