10th Annual TAISM Festival of Choirs
Date: February 14, 2013
Choir type: School Choirs
On February 21-22, 2013, high school students will unite their voices for the 10th annual Festival of Choirs at The American International School of Muscat (TAISM) in the Sultanate of Oman. Approximately 250 high school students representing 19 American International schools from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will take part in rehearsals and social events for two days in preparation for a grand finale concert. In addition to celebrating a decade of hosting this festival, we are very excited to have Philomel, choral ensemble from Capital University (Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A.) serve as special singing mentors. Philomel will also be featured in the concert. TAISM will host this festival in its new Bosch Center for the Performing Arts. This year's guest conductor will be Dr. Lynda R. Hasseler, director of choral studies at Capital University.
