Handel's Utrecht Te Deum performed by YSU Dana Chorale

Location: Ohio, USA
Choir type: College and University Choirs
Voicing: Mixed
YSU's Dana School of Music presents its Spring Choral Concert featuring Handel's Utrecht Te Deum and more smaller works including Bruckner's motets and contemporary compositions.
The concert will be held at the St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown, OH on Monday, April 8, 2013, 8 pm.
The admission is free and free-will donation is welcome.
The Utrecht Te Deum is one of Handel's earliest works written in English language.  And yet it presents the glorious features of Handelian Chorus.  As almost all movements present little fugues, the balance among short solos, soli quartets, pompous homophonic insertions and fugues creates a shear beauty of Baroque music.
Hope you will be with us if you are in the region.
