    ABINGTON CHORAL CLUB WILL PRESENT ITS 66TH ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT.

 

 

 

 

The Abington Choral Club will present its 66th Annual Spring Concert  ~ “By Request“ ~ on Saturday May 4, 2013 at 8 PM in the Abington Senior High School Auditorium, 970 Highland Avenue, Abington, Pa. 19001

 

Under the direction of Peter Hilliard and accompanied by Roburt Gajdos, the 80-voice chorus will perform music in celebration of the Spring Season. The concert will feature selections from  Andrew Lloyd Webber’s, “Phantom of the Opera” , arranged by Ed Lojeski  plus selections from Lerner and Loewe’s “My Fair Lady”. The choral club will also perform classic pieces such as Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin and “Verdi’s “ Anvil Chorus” and “Va Pensiero”. The concert will also include, John David & Peter Knight’s, “You are the New Day”, Randell Thompson’s, “Choose Something like a Star”, John William’s, “Dry your Tears Afrika”, Joseph M. Martin’s,  “The Awakening” , Dorothy Field’s and Cy Coleman’s “Rhythm of Life” arr. by Richard Barnes; Mark Hayes, “Wade in the Water”, Peter Hilliard’s eclectic original pieces 

 ( "Jezebel Sauce", "Apricot Kielbasa Slices", and "Ida's Easy Whiskey Cake" ) and lastly, Brendan Graham & Rolf Lovland’s, “You Raise me Up”, arr by Roger Emerson, and a special surprise. 

 

No tickets are required and admission is free. However a suggested minimum donation of $10 will be gladly accepted at the door so that ACC may continue its out- reach program throughout the community.
