ensemble singing MA at York (UK)Date: March 29, 2013 Views: 348
Undergraduate singers who have an interest in and experience with small-ensemble (one-per-part) work might want to consider a new MA program at the University of York (England). Recitals are assessed for the group as a whole, and repertory ranges quite widely. The course is run by Robert Hollingworth, who for 25 years has been the director of the award-winning English vocal group I Fagiolini. There is a special arrangement if existing groups want to register in full: an ensemble of four students that auditions and is admitted as a group only pays fees for three students—in effect, a 25% reduction.
