Song Of World Peace And Togetherness - SATBDate: April 3, 2013 Views: 411 Voicing: Mixed
Hi,
I am offering my original song One Song to any choral group that would consider performing it. The song is an instant winner and has been well received around the world. Contact me if you are interested.
Some of the events that have used the song include:
Inaugural Choir Olympics Opening Ceremony - Linz, Austria (words were used with a different melody)
Celebration Of Flags - University Of Indianapolis (annual campus event second largest only to graduation ceremony)
World Congress Of Religions - Washington DC (keynote speakers include Martin Luther King III and Condoleezza Rice)
9/11 Ten Year Anniversary - Service honoring victims - New Jersey (this was performed in one of the towns that had victims lost on United Airlines flight 93)
Martin Luther King celebration - various schools (this is a popular school event I have gotten multiple requests for)
A judge from a song contest wrote this about One Song:
“Beautifully crafted melody! It works perfectly with the lyrics, making us feel comfort and hope. For a song such as this, the melody couldn't be more well-written. It is simple enough for most anyone to follow it, and yet reaches to places that inspire the hope that you wish to bring out in this song. As it kicks up a notch at the end, we can hear a huge chorus singing it loudly, shaking the rafters, perhaps in a church, or at a rally. We can't say enough about this lyric. It is deceptively simple, but yet reaches around the world! Who (anywhere, or in any walk of life) could disagree with any of these lines? This verse (in particular) has a way of saying something that we've never quite heard put this way before: "Everyone's a brother, Or a sister that you meet. We are all one family, Living on the same street." Yes, with the pace of the world today, we're on the same street, indeed!”
Here is a sampling of the types of requests I get for One Song:
