Choir officers?

I know of only one church musician who has them for her choir, and wonder if anyone else has them?  If so, what titles do they have, and what are their functions.  It sounds like an intriguing idea, although i do wonder if it will work.

Speaking here as a church choir member:  Our church ensemble has two: one is the president, and the other is the librarian.  The president's job is to ensure that all absences are recorded and noted for reason, communicate all things that the director wants us to know, help lead us in the decision about what to wear each time we sing, record practice tracks for us, and then either get those practice tracks to us via email or make a CD.  The librarian, of course, takes care of distributing, collecting, and filing music. She nags at us if we haven't turned our music in, too. :-)

We are a small 13 member women's ensemble, so we share other duties such as planning the fall retreat, Christmas party, mid-rehearsal treats, etc.

When I started this church job, there were already a number of "officers"  assigned to the choir.  For example:  President, and Vice President - these helped with day to day functions of the choir, organized events (parties, etc) for the group.
Secretary:  takes attendance each rehearsal and worship service.  We honor those with perfect attendance and publish the number of years each person has been a member when we have Choir Recognition Sunday (all choirs in the church are recognized).
Librarian - takes care of and files all music
Treasurer - can be the Secretary...we collect monies to use for our choir parties, greeting cards sent to members, etc.
Sunshine Chairperson - they send birthday cards to all members of the choir - also get well, sympathy, etc.
Robe Attendant - assigns robes for all new members, sees that the robes/stoles are in good shape (zippers work, etc)
I hope this helps.  This works beautifully for us!  Actually, I forgot one:  Social Chairperson - in charge of all choir parties!  Yea!
