The director teaches/directs seventh and eighth grade choirs and Upper School choir; directs Encore, a select Upper School performing group; serves as musical director for the Upper School musical; and advises a small group of students. The director also plans and directs annual concerts, coaches students for private and public vocal competitions (including attending competitions with students), and directs occasional vocal presentations for parent shows and school assemblies. A master’s in the field and significant choral directing experience, preferably with students of this age, are required, and some background in musical theatre is preferred.
