Serving the Roswell and Alpharetta communities, Cross of Life is seeking a part-time organist to facilitate congregational worship and accompany the chancel choir. Weekly duties currently include Sunday services at 8:00 and 11:15 (four hymns, service music, and anthem) and rehearsal with the chancel choir, currently from 10 AM to 11 AM. Special services including Holy Week, Christmas Eve, mid-week Advent services, and others are also expected. A mid-week choir rehearsal may also be added in the near future.

Cross of Life is a thriving congregation of the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Averaging around 250 individuals in worship on Sunday, we offer 8:00 AM and 11:15 AM traditional services and a 9:00 AM contemporary service, all of which are supported by staff and lay leadership. Cross of Life's music ensembles include a 20-member chancel choir, 3-octave bell choir, contemporary ensemble, and a volunteer instrumental ensemble that plays on particular church festival Sundays.

Sanctuary instruments include a two-manual M.P. Moller organ and a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, which is shared with our contemporary ensemble. The music suite hosts a Howard baby-grand piano.

Salary is currently $250 per Sunday with additional funds for extra calls (mid-week rehearsals, services, etc.). Use of the music suite for private lessons is welcome in accordance with the church schedule and coordination with the music director.
