Greater South Jersey Chorus presents "Spotlight!: Choruses and Songs from Opera, Stage and Screen"

On May 5th at 8:00 PM and May 18th at 3:30 PM, The Greater South Jersey Chorus will present "Spotlight", a program of choruses and songs drawn from the operatic and stage repertoire. First half highlights will include the "Humming Chorus" from Madama Butterfly, "La Preghiera" from Maria Stuarda, the "Soldier's Chorus" from Faust, the "Polovetsian Dances" from Prince Igor, and the Final Tableau from Dialogues of the Carmelites. In the second half, audiences will be treated to music from "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "O Brother, Where Art Thou," "Chicago", "Hairspray", "Man of La Mancha" and "Les Miserables", among others.
The May 5 performance will take place at Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill, NJ; the May 18 performance will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Marlton, NJ. Both performances will be helmed by Artistic Director Dean Rishel, supported by Assistant Director Kenneth Ewan, Conducting Intern Brittney Boykin, and Accompanist Tamara Benitez.
