AUDITIONS will be heard at the Choral Arts Ensemble offices in Assisi Heights, Rochester, June 2- June 5 by appointment. The 15-minute audition consists of tonal memory and rhythm exercises, sightsinging, range tests. Please bring a prepared piece.

Choral Arts Ensemble, under the artistic direction of Rick Kvam, will celebrate Partners in Performance during the 2013-14 season with concerts that will include collaborations with artists, dancers, composers, and other ensembles, choral and instrumental, and presenting a wide range of choral repertoire, ancient to newly commissioned. Also part of the season are the annual benefit and community outreach concerts including performances in the Mayo Clinic's Rosemary and Meredith Willson Harmony for Mayo Program. Concert dates are October 26-27, 2013; December 13-15, 2013; February 1, 2014, February 15, 2014 (annual benefit); March 14-16, 2014, and May 3-4, 2014.

Any interested adult singer in the southeast Minnesota region may audition; all singers must audition annually. Choral Arts Ensemble consists of 40 singers. Rehearsals will be held Tuesday evenings, 6:45-9:45 pm, August 27, 2013- May 6, 2014, at Assisi Heights, Rochester, with occasional extra rehearsals and post-concert recording sessions. Singers are required to have experience in choral singing, an ability to learn music quickly and independently, and the willingness to commit for the entire season and do conscientious advance preparation before rehearsals.
