This summer, in keeping with our nearly 20-year tradition, we will host another 2.5-day workshop led by one of the country's finest choral musicians. This summer's workshop will be given by Dr. Sandra Snow from Michigan State University. Sandra is one of the leading lights in American choral music today. The course will run all day Monday and Tuesday, June 3 & 4, and the morning only on Wednesday, June 5. Topics to be covered include:
* We Sing Ourselves: Relationship Making and Choral Singing
* Gesture and Sound: “What she really means is…”
* Score Analysis Boot Camp
* Vocal Color and Choral Tone: Philosophical Choices Matter
* Listening Spheres
* as well as reading sessions and conducting masterclasses.
You can register in advance online and there will also be registration on site. All classes, and on-site registration, will be in room B-120 in the Center for the Arts (also known as Popejoy Hall) on the UNM campus.
