Director of Music Ministries:  St. George’s United Methodist Church of Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Christian who will oversee all aspects of our church music programs. Duties to include selection, direction and preparation of music for adult Chancel and Bell Choirs, youth choir and children’s choirs.  Passion for and experience working with and developing children’s and youth choirs required. This position provides oversight and administration of all choirs and coordination with volunteer directors of the children’s and youth choirs.  Piano skills and past experience directing vocal groups are required.   Organ skills are highly desirable. Must be available for Thursday and Sunday evening rehearsals, one Sunday morning service, along with other scheduled worship services throughout the year.   It is anticipated this salaried position will require approximately 24 hrs/wk.  Additional time may be required during special church seasons and events.
