Lenawee Community Chorus

The mission of the Lenawee Community Chorus is to foster the advancement of vocal music in Lenawee County and to enhance the musical interest and education of county residents.  LCC remains committed to balanced performances of important musical works and shorter variety selections (part-songs, anthems, spirituals, etc.).  LCC has connected with other ensembles, including area high school choruses, chamber orchestras, and Adrian College ensembles.  As a resident chorus of Adrian College, LCC enjoys the benefits of a thorough choral library as well as outstanding performance and rehearsal spaces.  

 

LCC is seeking interested applicants for the part-time position of conductor and artistic-director.  Successful candidates will:

 

• Have a reasonable plan of how to expand the chorus (the chorus has historically ranged in size of 45-60 singers in the past five years).

• Be an experienced teacher of choral music with a developed repertoire.

• Be a skilled collaborator who can work effectively with additional choruses and other musicians in planning and performing.

• Communicate effectively with the chorus and audience in writing, speaking, and conducting gestures.
