Hello members,
For a high quality professional recording project, I am looking for a youth choir (from a high school, for instance, or even, from a University), preferably multiracial and with published videos in YouTube or similar (number of plays nor the video quality is not important). The choir should be from the USA but the city or State is not important for me.
The project is named "Morning Bridges" and is a double album based on 16 of my own compositions (I am the composer and producer), all of them with a beautiful and moving story behind and merging different styles and genres: classical crossover, elegant pop, musical (theatre), film music, Mediterranian music (fado, Catalan havanera...), Chinese folk music, Arabic music...
All the tracks are arranged for acoustic instruments (Western and/or traditional ones -Erhu, Dizi, Xiao, Guzheng, Oud,...)
The choir is needed in 6 of these songs, having a main role in 2 tracks ("a cappella") and accompaning the vocal soloists or the orchestra in the rest of them.
Although is an "indie" project, several great artists are involved in the project: Mafalda Arnauth (fado), Giorgia Fumanti, George Perris, Nova Emad, Lara Bello, Aria Christian, Christopher Dallo among others. 3 orchestras are involved: Western (Warsaw Philharmonic), Arabic (New York Arabic Orchestra) and Chinese (still in negotiation).
7 languages are present in lyrics: English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Catalan.
I wrote "preferably a multiracial choir" because the project works some values like the love to the cultural merging, to the roots and the diversity, among others. And also a youth choir is needed because part of these songs are in relation with a NGO which works with young people or are humble tributes to some young people.
The project is a beautiful and unique one and, of course, I will send to the interested choirs all the info about it: a dossier, a draft audio file of the songs and the lyrics.
You can listen to some drats of the project's songs at www.artistshare.com/morningbridges (website still in progress but the music player is on). The songs showed are rough drafts and not the most representative but you can taste the style, the kind of tunes I do, etc.
Please, if you are interested, send to "info@ramongallifa.com" an email with the name of the choir, location, a link to any video of a live performance that I could see, your name and your relation with the choir.
Thank you very much for your attention with me and congratulations for your lovely work with music and people!
Sincerely,
Ramon Gallifa
