Already for the 12th time the International Choir Competition & Festival will take place in Bad Ischl. From 2014 on INTERKULTUR will organize this popular choir competition together with the city of Bad Ischl, the Salzkammergut Touristik GmbH and the Upper Austrian Vocal Academy.

This international choir competition, located in the midst of the picturesque landscape of the Salzkammergut has become one of the most important and most beautiful choral events in Austria by now. INTERKULTUR is pleased to be able to offer from now on events in Vienna (Franz Schubert), Graz, Linz (Anton Bruckner) and Bad Ischl and thus to create a solid basis for top-class international choral get-togethers in Austria.

The comprehensive and friendly support by members of the choirs of Bad Ischl creates a family and relaxed atmosphere which is truly one-of-a-kind and invites singers to feel completely at ease. International renowned jurors and choral experts will evaluate the competitions and help the choirs with words and deeds during consulting rounds.

Apart from the competitions gala concerts, friendship concerts and participation in masses will take place in the context of this festival. These features will establish a unique atmosphere of cordial encounters between the choirs, singers and visitors.
