Med. Easy TTBB repertoireDate: May 23, 2013 Views: 515
Hello listers....
For summer men's choir (TTBB) at my church I would appreciate any suggestions you might have for moderately easy, learn-in- one-rehearsal anthems. Talk to you later...thanks.

I found this book on eBay called "Songs for Men" edited by F. Melius Christiansen of St. Olaf fame. It has many quality but not difficult arrangements in it. Many are hymn tunes, but there are several pieces which can be used as "anthems" - for examble a TTBB arrangement of "Lost in the Night" (which needs a tenor solo however). It also has a TTBB arrangement of "Beautiful Savior" with a female solo; my group recently sang this with a children's chorus singing the solo in unison and it was very effective. I would suggest picking it up this book and having it as a reference. Of all the older TTBB men's collections I have, it is the most useful and consistent in quaqlity. Here is a link to a currently available copy below:

Thomas,
I'm not sure if this is the right difficulty, but here's a piece I wrote called "Veni Creator Spiritus." It's 4 part, mostly homophonic, but very neo-renaissance in style.
