Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble presents a celebration of Benjamin Britten's centennial in a program focused on Voices for Today, which was commissioned to mark the 20th anniversary of the United Nations.Vox Nova Children’s Chorus of the Special Music School, Kaufman Center, joins Cerddorion in Britten's hymn to love and coexistence. Cerddorion will also mark the 50th anniversary of Francis Poulenc's death by performing Litanies à la Vierge Noire.
Performances will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 199 Carroll St. Brooklyn, NY, at 8:00 pm, and on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, 87th Street & West End Avenue, NY,NY.
