The Young People's Chorus of Erie, an outreach program of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, is pleased to announce its 4th Annual Choir Camp, August 5-9. This program, designed for singers age 7 through 13, will focus on developing singers' voices through interactive workshops and expert instruction. Our day camp will include fun, fast-paced rehearsals and age-appropriate music literacy classes geared to beginning/intermediate singers and those new to singing in a choir. Music-related guest presentations and afternoon activities led by professional colleagues and friends of YPC Erie will offer education in instrumental music, movement, drama, and the visual arts.
An informal performance of the songs we learn together will take place on Friday, August 9, and families are welcome to attend.
Dates: Monday, August 5 - Friday, August 9
Location: Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul, 134 W. 7th St.
Time: 9am-4pm daily (8:30am drop-off)
Cost: $150 per camper, $15 sibling discount. Camp fees cover tuition, activities, snacks, supplies, and a camp t-shirt.
Additional Details: Campers are asked to bring a labeled water bottle each day and a packed lunch Monday-Thursday. Lunch will be provided on Friday. Snacks will be served twice daily.
