Introduction to Modern Collegiate a cappella workshop

In this workshop, you will be singing award-winning arrangements, improving your musical chops, composing your own unique a cappella piece, and of course putting on a final performance for families and friends. If you are interested in exploring and preparing for the world of collegiate a cappella come and audition!
This 10-week clinic is open to both Chaminade and guest students by audition only. Auditions will be held on September 16 and September 18 at 5 p.m. Students interested in auditioning for the group should email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an audition appointment. Please prepare a one-minute excerpt of a song that you feel shows your voice off the best. Students selected to participate will be notified by email by Friday, September 20.
Instructor DJ Harper has been doing session singing work since elementary school, appearing in several Disney movies and shows such as Malcolm in the Middle and Glee. He holds his degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in Music Composition, and has composed pieces for solo instruments, ensembles, and large orchestras, as well as choirs and vocal groups. During DJ’s tenure at UCLA, he was a member of the highly acclaimed a cappella group, the Scattertones, who recently achieved 2nd place two years running in the ICCA finals in New York City. He sang lead for the Scattertones, composed and taught arrangements, headed up the recording team, and was one of the musical directors of the group.
