Research about the middle school voice

Hello! I'm at the beginning of a research paper about middle school voices/choirs.  I'm not sure where I want to go with this project, and I'm having a hard time finding sources to help me get started.  Does anyone have a particular book, journal, etc concerning this age that you found particularly helpful?
Thank you!

I have two pdf's (powerpoint presentations) that will give you excellent ideas about working with the boy's changing voice and the girls' changing voice.
Working with the Boy's Changing Voice--Something Old, Something New is drawn from my (Terry Barham) book, Strategies for Teaching Junior High and Middle School Male Singers--Master Teachers Speak (Santa Barbara Music,
Girls' Changing Voices--It's No Mystery is from Lynne Gackle's dissertation and her Choral Journal article of 1991. Her book is Working With Ophelia's Voice. . . .  It is outstanding!

If you want a copy of these two pdf's, I'd be happy to send you (or anyone else) copies.  Check your college library for these two sources.

Terry, I would love to get a copy of your resources for young male voices.  I am working with some 7th grade boys right now who are really struggling with "which voice to sing in"!
Let me know how I can get these, or you can email.

Lynne Gackle's research about the female changing voice is great. John Cooksey and Henry Leck have done extensive work with male changing voice.
