Online Master's Degree Programs

I am researching online Master's Degree programs in Music Education with emphasis either in general music and/or choral emphasis.  I read through some threads and many of them were dated from 2006 and prior.  Does anyone have more recent experience with an online program?  I would appreciate feedback from people who have either finished a program or are currently in one.
Thank you,
Mary Turner

I am currently involved in a Master's Degree program in church music that is online.  It has general music and choral emphasis.  It is from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, WI. It is accredited. I have to go there 3 times for 1 week modules during the time I am working on my degree. Those 1 week modules are for conducting classes. If you want more specific info you can message me at: easturm(a) Hope this helps.

Kent State University has one. I have not gone through the program, but I know a lot of people are taking advantage of it. Click HERE for link to website.

Hi Mary, we have the same name!  I did a double-take when I saw your post...
I am currently enrolled in the Master's Degree in Music Education with emphasis in conducting through Colorado State University.  This program features online classes in theory, music history, etc. during the regular school year with applied conducting work in Colorado during the summers.  We go there for about 2.5 weeks each summer for three summers.  I have learned SO much and highly recommend it!
All I ask is that, if you contact the music department at Colorado State, make sure you let them know that you are a different Mary Turner!  :-)
