Southern Division Conference: Stetson University Women’s Chorale
Date: February 13, 2014
During the 2014 Southern Division Conference, ACDA will present . . .
STETSON UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S CHORALE
The Stetson University Women’s Chorale performs music from all stylistic periods, including extended works for Women’s Chorus. The participants’ college majors range from vocal performance to marine biology. The Chorale enjoys a strong sense of community and friendship, though hard work and musical focus prevail during rehearsals. The Chorale is made up primarily of freshmen and sophomores, though some upperclassmen participate. Rehearsals are four days per week during the noon hour. This concert will be the choir’s second appearance at a Southern ACDA Division Conference. The Chorale is one of four choirs at the university, and members must pass a tonal memory exam in order to join. Their CD, Life’s Loveliness, was released in 2012.
The ACDA Southern Division Conference will take place March 5-8, 2014, in Jacksonville, Florida. You can register NOW.
