Lutheran Youth Choir International Invites High-School Age Singers to Attend 2014 Festival of Global Vocal Music in Chicago

Location: Illinois, USA
High-school-age students (entering grade 9 through graduating grade 12) are invited to join with German youth who also love to sing for the Lutheran Youth Choir International’s 2014 biennial Festival of Global Vocal Music in the Chicago area, July 22 - August 2, 2014!  Rehearse and perform exciting sacred choral music from around the world in concerts and as part of an Evening Prayer for Peace service composed just for the choir. Take part in a hands-on global percussion workshop with a master teacher, and tour the fourth-largest instrument in the world, the 78-bell Naperville Millennium Carillon. Take two day-trips into Chicago to see all that this global city has to offer, and an overnight trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, including its beautiful new, award-winning art museum. Spend an afternoon and evening at Six Flags Great America amusement park. Make new friends from Germany and have the chance to sing with them again in Summer 2015 at the choir's next Festival of American Vocal Music at Mansfeld Castle in Mansfeld, Germany! $995 tuition includes room and board on the campus of North Central College in Naperville, all instruction, and music.  Financial assistance is available.
