Calmus Ensemble Leipzig Returns to the DC Area for Anticipated Encore Performance!

Location: Virginia, USA
Choir type: Professional Choirs
Voicing: Mixed
Classical Movements, Inc. is proud to present Calmus Ensemble Leipzig for one night only in the Washington, DC area as part of the Serenade! International Choral Series.  Don't miss this incredible concert on April 1st at 7:30pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Alexandria!
Calmus, an award-winning a capella quintet, consists of a soprano and four male voices from countertenor to bass. Graduates of Leipzig's St. Thomas Church School (where Bach worked from 1723 until his death in 1750), the singers produce soaring harmonies and crystal clear a capella sounds that have made them one of the most successful vocal groups in Germany.  They will be returning this year after a successful concert last April in Alexandria, VA.
The ensemble will present a variety of music from Palestrina to contemporary works.  Not limiting themselves to traditional repertoire, these singers from Leipzig are at home in all styles.
