Oregon Bach Festival Seeks High School Singers

Registration is now open for live auditions for the 2014 Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy, scheduled for June 30 – July 13 in Eugene, Oregon.
 
Under the inspired direction of Anton Armstrong (St. Olaf College) and the OBF artistic team, including Artistic Director Matthew Halls and Guest Conductor Helmuth Rilling, SFYCA participants sing with the world-class OBF Berwick Chorus, attend concerts, and perform in venues in Portland and Eugene.
 
The 84 voice high school choir is open nationally to students currently in high school (freshman year through senior year).  Tuition and fees for accepted singers is $900 and include all sessions, sheet music, concert tickets and room & board in a University of Oregon dorm for the duration of the academy.  Scholarships are available.
 
Live auditions take place March 31 – April 11 in Oregon in the Portland area, Salem, Eugene and Medford, as well as in Seattle, Washington.  Recorded auditions are accepted now through April 10.
