Canada’s Atlantic Voices recently announced Elise Letourneau as the winner of their Third Choral Composition Contest with her delightful A Mid-Winter Night's Dream. The work is an original composition based on a text by the Confederation poet William Wilfred Campbell who spent several years as an Anglican rector in the Atlantic province of New Brunswick. Elise Letourneau is one of the two founding composers of the innovative TheC7Prize (theC7prize.com) involving composers, conductors and their choirs. Matthew Emery took second place with O for the Spirit of the Dove. Both compositions will be featured in concert in January 2015.
