Starting a high school choir

Hello fellow choir teachers!
I teach at an alternative high school and last year was the first year they offered a general music type class. I teach that same class this year, mostly we do "music projects" learn the guitar, drumming, keyboards, etc. Next year, I will be adding a choir. It willl be a high school group, but because this is all new, I am unsure how many students I'd get which makes planning hard. I'm not sure what kind of music we could do. I know the typical 2 part, unison pieces are great ways to begin and we will be doing a lot of sight-reading at the beginning of the year, but does anyone have any advice or resources?
Thanks, Ben
