Jason Cole has written a superb TB arrangement of Battle Cry of Freedom published by Santa Barbara Music -- (take a look/listen).  It's in my series with SBMP.    I'm biased but I think it's excellent!

I am going on memory here, but I am almost certain that there is a TTBB section of this song in "Northern Lights" which was a medley of Civil War songs. (There was a companion publication called "Southern Comfort" which featured Civil War songs of the Rebels; if has a show stopping TTBB with tenor solo version of "Lorena.") I'm thinking they were arranged by Robert Russell Bennett. They were primarily SATB but with TTBB sections. The "Battle Cry" was not full-song length but contained at least chorus/verse with accompaniment and was a good arrangement. If my memory serves me, I think it could be adapted if you needed to lengthen it. Loved those sets.

Interesting, Harv!  I don't remember these!  RRB was my Grand-uncle and I have much of his works here; I will dig around and see if I can find it.  Best, Casey

I still have access to the library of the org that I sang it with. If you would like for me to check for anything about "Northern Lights" this week, I will be in the building housing the music this Wednesday. Just let me know.

I would greatly appreciate it and be happy to reciprocate with anything you need.  I try to keep as much of Uncle Bob's music around in case I get requests (mostly from his orchestrations of obscure operettas!)  Best, Casey

Casey, I just realized I never did this for you. So sorry! I will take care of it this week.
